About Us

Why did we start pebl1?

We have spent years and years doing reviews, being audited, working with regulators and corporates to operate, assess and implement controls. We've picked regulations apart and put them back together again in products and services that we shared with clients.

However, all too often, this resulted in a high fee for the client and a trainee with a checklist to deliver the work.  Many companies, especially small-to-medium sized companies, spent all their time, money, and effort on these audits.  After that, there was little to improve things.  And so, many of the issues remained for the next audit to find (with an expensive trainee with a checklist).

Over time, we realised that the professional services industry can, and must, do better.  Pebl1 was designed to be better:

  • pebl1 drives risk assessment, management and prevention across different facets of your business.

  • It's targeted at SMEs but can be used by all.  It's faster, cheaper and offers better insight than a traditional, human audit.

  • The methods have been built by industry-hardened specialists, so you know they are good. At least as good as you'd buy from a firm or specialist.

  • Human specialists can still be involved, but they are on demand and bound to the method, so you don't pay for travel, chat and time over coffee.

The more audits you do, the better it gets.  the pebl1  algorithm looks across your business, compares you with everyone else and can predicts bigger issues across your organisation, just from the work you do.

A time will come when you start any controls review with a pebl1.  It won't cost much, if anything.  Everyone will know the standard issues before any audit starts.  Then time, money and attention can be focused on real insight and fixing the problems.  Not on paying a fortune for the basics.
